Completed projects
Volunteers researched the whereabouts of existing and lost boundary markers and mileposts along the banks of the River Weaver. The exhibition of the results of their work was displayed in Runcorn Library Co-op supermarket in Frodsham, Tesco supermarket in Northwich and Winsford Library. This project was funded by the Local Heritage Initiative ( part of the Heritage Lottery Fund administered by The Countryside Agency ).

The bridge keeper's hut beside Sutton Weaver swing bridge was saved from demolition by lobbying Vale Royal Borough Council.

The Society persuaded British Waterways to restore Newbridge to full working order. On 27th June 2001, Bolle Bier was the first boat to pass through the opened bridge for many years.
