Bernice Tackley - Artist of the Anderton Boat Lift Mural

The Weaver is only navigable from Winsford Bridge to its confluence with the Ship Canal

Local Waterways Scenes
10th August 2019

Our President's wife, Bernice Tackley is exhibiting her art work, many of which are of local waterways scenes, at the Anderton Boat Lift, daily until Saturday afternoon 17th August, from 10.00 until 17.00.

Admission is free, both to the Lift site and the exhibition, and Bernice will be present and, if she has time, demonstrating her work.

Her paintings, prints and cards are for sale, and there are painting activities for children to enter, so bring them along.

There is also a raffle for an original Boat Lift painting.

Bernice is the artist commissioned by the Anderton Boat Lift Trust, prior to its disbandment in 2010, to paint the large 28'-0" x 8'-0" mural overlooking the picnic area at the top of the site.

Why not come along, review what has been happening at Anderton recently, come and view the exhibition and make yourself known to Bernice (and/or John, who will probably be there) and spend an enjoyable hour or two down by the riverside.

We look forward to seeing you!
