Public Transport
Cheshire and the Weaver Valley, in particular, is well served by public transport.
If you travel down the River Weaver, you both notice and enjoy four vast viaducts.
At Frodsham, the Chester to Manchester via Warrington railway line crosses the Weaver. The River is just over a mile away from the Railway Station.
At Dutton and Vale Royal, the West Coast Main Line takes you over the River. Not too far way from these viaducts are Acton Bridge and Hartford Railway Stations respectively. If you travelling from afar, change at Crewe for these stations. From Liverpool and the West Midlands there are direct services.
At Northwich, the Manchester to Chester via Knutsford and Stockport railway line crosses the Weaver. The railway stations at both Northwich and Greenbank are in easy walking distance of the Weaver.
Although the Weaver is not navigable at Wrenbury and Nantwich, they are close to the Manchester to Crewe to Shrewsbury/ South Wales railway line.
