Explore the story of these local defences through the centuries from Iron Age hillforts to Roman camps and Medieval castles to Civil War fortifications.
The story of soldiers and everyday life in these buildings will be told through reconstructions, art, hands-on activities and fascinating artefacts including finds from the Roman fort in Northwich and original armour and weapons from the Civil War siege at Chester.
Entrance to the exhibition is free. There is a small charge when visiting the other galleries at the Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse.
NOTE: The Museum is only open on Mondays during school holidays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
